We believe that children who are active and healthy are more likely to be well-motivated, happy children. Our children are physically active every day. Mrs Bateson, our PE teacher, works alongside teachers to ensure the children engage in a broad range of physical activities through the school day. In Key Stage 1, children learn basic movements such as running, jumping, throwing and catching, perform dances using simple movement patterns, and participte in team games. In Key Stage 2, children learn a broader range of skills and have regular opportunities for both intra- and inter-school competitive team games including football and netball. These competitive activities build character and develop values such as fairness and respect. From Monday through to Thursday, children who want to can stay behind after school to participate in a range of free after school clubs.
