We encourage you to think about how your child gets to and from school. Children who walk or cycle to school tend to be fitter, healthier and more alert in class than children who are driven. Leaving the car at home has real benefits for you and your child: better air quality, safer roads and less inconvenience to local residents.
Bicycle
We are a Bike Friendly School. Our cycle compound securely holds 10 bicycles and our scooter park holds 10 scooters. It was purchased from funds raised by the children themselves and a grant from CityConnect. All our children receive Bikeability training in Year 6.
Bus
More information about our P89 school bus service is available here and here. You must register your child in advance to use a specific bus stop on specific days and name who is allowed to collect your child from the bus stop. You must contact Education Transport on 0113 3481122 to make any changes to your child's journey, and you must inform the school of which days your child is travelling home on the school bus. At the time of writing, the bus fare is 80p per single journey (regardless of which bus stops are used), or £6.00 for the week. Your child must pay the cash fare to the driver when they board the bus. Check here to see if you are eligible for free travel to and from school. Application forms for free school travel in Leeds can be downloaded here.

Car
The car park is for staff only. Parents should not attempt to use the school car park unless you have a blue badge or by prior arrangement with school staff. We ask all drivers to observe our drivers' code of practice - available to download below. Parking illegally or inconsiderately not only causes inconvenience to local residents and undermines our efforts to be a good neighbour, but also causes a danger to other children and pedestrians. We work with Leeds City Council's uniformed patrol officers to identify dangerous and inappropriate parking. Instead of parking outside school, please consider our Park and Stride Scheme - an information leaflet is available to download below.
Walk
We encourage you to walk with your children to school where practical. Children in Years 5 and 6 may walk home from school provided a permission to walk home form has been completed and sent to the school office.
